Parent-led practice trust
The legal pages should make Day 1 feel safer, not heavier.
These pages explain the current public practice boundary in plain terms before families start or continue listening practice.
Terms of Service
Terms for using the First English Day listening course
2026/07/22
Overview
These Terms describe how families may use First English Day, a complete, parent-led English listening course for young children. Day 1 remains available without an account so children can start quickly, while the product also offers a course map, optional parent accounts, progress continuity, and paid plans.
Parent-Led Use
First English Day is intended to be used by a parent or guardian with a child. The adult is responsible for opening the website, supervising practice, deciding whether the content is appropriate for the child, and choosing what feedback to send.
Children should not submit forms, contact us directly, upload files, or provide identity details or contact handles.
Accounts And Payments
The first public practice session does not require an account or payment. Parent accounts are optional and may be used for progress continuity, account management, and paid course access. Paid plans are processed by our payment provider and provide only the course content and access described for the selected plan. Child profiles and uploaded recordings are not required.
Practice Feedback
Parents may choose to share contact messages or practice notes. Please keep those notes focused on parent observations:
- how long it took to reach the first listening prompt;
- where attention broke;
- whether the parent trusted the lesson structure enough to return;
- practical issues that made the session harder or easier.
Do not include a child's full name, school, photo, address, voice recording, messaging/social handle, phone number, email address, or other identity details in feedback.
By sending feedback, you allow us to use it to improve First English Day, plan the curriculum, and decide how to improve the course. We will not intentionally publish feedback in a way that identifies a child or family without permission.
Local Data
The practice flow and practice notes may save progress, preferences, and practice notes in the browser. This local data is controlled by the device owner. It can be cleared through browser settings or the practice-note controls where available. Visible save flows ask for anonymous labels and discard obvious child-identity or contact-detail clues, including messaging handles, phone, or email clues, before local save. If a parent enables optional follow-read replay, any microphone recording is a short browser-local replay only. It is not submitted as feedback, saved to browser storage, uploaded to cloud storage, or persisted by server-side systems. The starter practice does not request, save, or upload follow-read recordings outside that parent-enabled local replay flow.
Because the current public starter practice keeps progress local, we cannot restore local practice data if it is deleted, the browser is reset, or the family switches devices.
Educational Scope
First English Day is a practice aid, not a guarantee of language-learning outcomes. The course provides structured listening practice but does not guarantee a specific learning outcome or replace professional educational advice.
Parents should stop or adjust the session if the child is tired, upset, distracted, or uncomfortable.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use the website in a way that violates applicable law;
- attempt to disrupt, attack, scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service;
- submit harmful, misleading, or unlawful content through contact or feedback forms;
- send child identity or contact details when the product asks for parent observations only;
- use the starter practice as an unsupervised child-directed service.
Availability And Changes
The current public starter practice is provided as available. We may change, pause, or remove features as we learn from real family use. We may also update these Terms by posting a new version on this page.
